Comments for the Weeks of March 6-10 & March 13
  • Biggest winner this week: Tesheka Waddler ($43,990) (March 9)
  • The week of March 10-14 was the first time this season where a week featuring five new episodes did not have at least one $1.00 spinner in the Showcase Showdown. Thankfully, this one week drought ended with the $1.00 spin-off on the March 13 episode.
  • The week of March 10-14 was also the third straight week (or fourth out of the past five weeks) where at least 15 Pricing Games were fully won.
  • The gifts offered in Temptation have totalled between $5,818 and $5,840 in four out the five playings so far this season. Only the January 26 playing ($5,275) did not follow this pattern.
  • With the win on March 10, Balance Game snapped a five game losing streak dating back to November 23. Since premiering in Season 34, the game's longest losing streak was 13 games in Seasons 38 and 39. Its longest winning streak was five games in Seasons 35 and 36.
  • Also on March 10, Vincente won the Showcase round by $14,496 (Showcase differences of $1,417 and $15,913), which is the second largest margin of victory this season (behind a win by $15,261 on the November 21 episode).
  • With the win on March 7, Money Game became the first car game to be won 10 times this season. Money Game has a great chance to be the car game won most often for the fourth time in the past five seasons. (The game it is currently locked in a battle with Dice Game (9 wins).)
  • Since Season 29, Money Game has been won at least 10 times every year except Season 40 (7-20).
  • The "then" products in Now....or Then (French's honey mustard and Alka-Seltzer antacid) did in fact appear on the Price is Right in May 2001. In fact, both were used in a playing of Hi Lo on the May 21, 2001 episode.
  • The cash was placed in Box #13 in 1/2 Off for only the fourth time in the game's history. (It also occurred on December 13, 2010, November 12, 2013 and February 7, 2014.) In all four instances, the game was lost. (The contestant did not get down to two boxes in any of these four playings.)
  • The $18,523 Toyota Yaris was the cheapest car offered in Card Game since April 27, 2015 ($18,265 Dodge Dart).
  • The top prize was won in Grand Game for the first time since November 14, snapping a six game losing streak for this game. Another loss would have been the game's first seven game losing streak since it was lost eight straight times in Season 41.
  • Prior to this week, the last time Grand Game was won when the target price was under $4.00 was December 19, 2013. Since then, the game had been lost seven straight times when played with such a low target price.
  • It took seven tries to win Bonkers, which is the most tries used in a win since January 11, 2013 (also seven tries). Since Season 32, the most tries ever taken to win Bonkers is 9, which occurred on the April 22, 2009 episode.
  • Five Pricing Games were fully won on the March 9 episode - the first 5/6 day since December 20. Overall, we are on pace to have 11 episodes with more than four Pricing Games won this season, compared to 13 last season (9 5/6 days and 4 perfect shows.)
  • Previous time a contestant won the first prize in 10 Chances on the first try: February 3 of last season (8 playings ago). Previous time a contestant won the first two prizes in three tries: June 24, 2014 (22 playings ago).
(For what it's worth, January 26, 2007 was the last time a contestant won the first two prizes in just two tries.)
  • The $23,435 Toyota Tacoma was the most expensive car offered in Five Price Tags since December 21, 2010 (a $23,578 Dodge Nitro).
  • Squeeze Play was won for the tenth time this season. Squeeze Play has now been won at least 10 times in 10 out of the past 11 seasons (the lone exception was Season 41, with 8 wins). The high during this span was 18 wins, achieved in both Seasons 43 and 44.
  • March 13th's second Showcase, worth $20,263, was the cheapest Showcase offered since February 25, 2014 ($19,461) - the last a Showcase worth less than $20,000 was offered.
  • Shell Game was won for the first time this season. That means every single Pricing Game has been won or partially won at least once this season. The last time that occurred was Season 36.
  • Shell Game was also played perfectly (all four chips won) for the first time since June 1, 2015.
  • The $25,328 Jeep Patriot Latitude, offered in Any Number, was the most expensive car offered in this game since June 6, 2014 ($25,784 Mazda MX-5).
