Comments for the Week of September 29-October 3
  • Biggest winner this week: Elisa Long ($48,789) (October 3)
  • It was a very good week in terms of Pricing Game wins - 18 games were outright won, while another 3 were at least partially won.
  • On Tuesday, $4,000 was won in Let 'em Roll - the most cash won in this game since $4,500 was won on November 22, 2011.
  • On Wednesday, Time is Money was played sixth for the first time ever (including playings in Season 32). Time is Money has now been played in every single slot except first.
  • On Friday, 2 for the Price of 1 was played for a car and was won. That snapped a six gamestreak where the game had been lost when it was played for a car. The last time a car had been won in this game was February 28, 2007.
  • None of the one bids offered on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday episodes were won by the contestant at the green podium. That's a pretty lengthy losing streak - 88% of the episodes that have aired since the start of Season 35 have had at least one win from the contestant at the green podium.
  • There have been 5 perfect bids in the one bids so far this season. At that pace, there will be 95 perfect bids this season - more than double the mark set last season (47).
Comments for the Week of October 6-10
  • Biggest winner this week: Lydia Villanueva ($55,302) (October 9)
  • Not only was Lydia this week's biggest winner, she was also the first Double Showcase Winner of the season. Not bad for a contestant that was the last person called to Contestant's Row. In fact, prior to this week, the previous time a contestant called ninth went on to win both Showcases was December 20, 2002.
(The information used to determine this stat was obtained from the Price is Right Double Showcase Winner Database.)
  • On Monday, Mildred won Cover Up by using the maximum five tries. Since the start of Season 31, Cover Up has gone the distance three times, with the contestant winning the car all three times.
  • The target price in Monday's playing of Grand Game was $11.00 - the first time the target was above $10 since April 11, 2012. Overall, since the start of Season 32, the target price has been $10 or more eight times (with the highest being $13.00 on May 18, 2009). The game has a record of 2-6 in these eight playings.
  • Also on Monday, Zackery won Pocket ¢hange even though the car was priced at $1.75. That ties the December 8, 2005 playing for the highest car price ever won. (Pocket ¢hange has never been won when the car was priced at $2 or higher.)
  • In winning the car, Zackery accumulated $1.80 in pocket change (the highest total since May 17, 2013) and picked the 75¢ card (for the first time since May 17, 2013).
  • On Tuesday, Grocery Game was played second for the first time since April 19, 2010.
  • On Wendesday, Abby managed to spell "CAR" in Spelling Bee twice (once with a "CAR" card and once with "C", "A" and "R" cards). Abby was the fifth contestant since the start of Season 32 to achieve this feat.
  • On Thursday, Danger Price was played first for the first time since January 11, 2013. Overall, Danger Price has led off a show only twice since the start of Season 37.
  • This was also the first time since April 30, 2013 where a four prize game had been played first.
  • On Friday, Hi Lo was played for a car for the tenth time since the start of Season 29. The car was won only once in these 10 playings - on February 17, 2012.
  • The $35.57 box of Allegra, offered in Hi Lo, appears to be the most expensive grocery product ever used in daytime history.
  • At least one out of the first four contestants have failed to win their way up on stage in 12 out of the 15 episodes this season (80% of episodes). By comparison, only 49% of episodes featured at least one contestant spending the entire episode in Contestant's Row.

  • On Monday, Jacob won Lucky $even with $5 to spare - the most impressive win since at least Season 32. (The next best win would be a win with $4 to spare on January 9, 2007.)
  • Jacob also got three numbers exaclty right in Lucky $even. Since the start of Season 30, that's only happened one other time (November 14, 2002. In that playing, the contestant missed the second digit by $5, then went on to get the last three digits exactly right.)
  • This was also Lucky $even's first win since April 1 of last season. That snapped a twelve game losing streak for this game.
  • On Tuesday, the $5,000 range card was drawn in Card Game for the first time since April 6, 2007.
  • Tuesday's playing was the fifth time the $5,000 range card has been drawn. Unfortunately, Tuesday's playing was also the first time the game was lost when the $5,000 card was drawn.
  • 13 cards were drawn in this week's playing of Card Game. That ties the March 27, 2009 playing for the most draws in a playing since at least Season 32.
  • Also on Tuesday, Jackie won the Showcase Showdown despite being the first spinner and despite only spinning 50 cents. That's the lowest winning score for the first spinner since the start of Season 41. (Previous low during this span was 55 cents on June 17, 2014.)

  • On Thursday, the selling price of the car in Pocket ¢hange was $2.25. That ties the record for the highest car value in this game (it also happened on April 7, 2006 and March 10, 2011). Thankfully, no contestant has ever been unfortunate enough to raise the car price to $2.50 or the maximum $2.75.
  • Friday's contestants were very polite. For the first time this season, no contestant bid $1 above a previous bid in any of the six one-bid rounds.
