Comments for the Week of November 3-7
  • $50,000+ winners this week: Donna Eaton ($58,592) (November 6), Sharece Thomas ($54,782) (November 5), Danielle Cooper ($54,733) (November 3)
  • On Monday, Temptation was won for the first time February 14 of last season. That snapped a six game losing streak for this game. (However, in four of those losses, the contestants bailed out and took the gifts.)
  • Temptation was won after Danielle mades changes to her original guess of the price of the car. Since the start of Season 32, 23 contestants have made changes to the price of the car:
    -19 contestants originally had the wrong price, and still had the wrong price even after making changes
    -2 contestants originally had the right price, but changed it to a wrong price
    -2 contestants originally had the wrong price, but changed it to the right price (Monday's playing and the January 10, 2012 playing)
  • Also on Monday, Card Game was played sixth for the first time since January 20, 2010. An ace was also drawn in this game for the first time since June 9, 2011 (Ending a streak of 10 straight playings without an ace).
  • On Wednesday, Dice Game was lost for the first time since May 16, 2014 (or May 26, 2014, based on actual airings). That snapped a five game winning streak for this game (or a 6 game streak based on actual airings.)
  • The value of the prize packages offered in 1 Right Price so far this season have been very consistent: $5,598 (Sep. 23), $5,690 (Oct. 10), $5,449 (Oct. 15), $5,494 (Oct. 21), $5,598 (Nov. 6) - all between $5,400 and $5,700.
  • On Friday, a contestant chose Key #1 (the key closest to the contestant) in Master Key for the first time since December 21, 2012. Key #1 was also revealed to be the master key for the first time since January 25, 2012. Overall, since Season 30, this was the seventh time Key #1 was revealed to be the master key.
  • With Bargain Game not being played this week, that leaves Most Expen$ive as the only Pricing Game that has been played every single week so far this season. The last time Most Expen$ive was the most frequently played pricing game in a season was in Season 39 (36 playings, tied with Squeeze Play and Switch?).
  • A one prize "quick" game (not played for cash or a car) was not played on both the Tuesday and the Wednesday episodes. Up to that point, at least one 1-prize game had been played on every single episode this season.
  • Two contestants bidding first bid $1 in a one bid this week: Geraldine on Tuesday and Julia on Friday. That only happened once (on October 4) in all of last season.
  • The three biggest Showcase overbids so far this season all happened this week: $8,022 (Monday), $5,401 (Thursday), $4,703 (Tuesday)

  • $60,000+ winners this week:
    • Mark Contreras ($143,545) (November 14) - Mark became the third biggest winner in daytime history.
    • Steven Heine ($104,213) (November 10) - Steven became the eighth biggest winner in daytime history.

  • Episodes where more than $100,000 in cash and prizes was won this week:
    • $203,953 on November 14 (fourth highest in daytime history)
    • $175,355 on November 10 (seventh highest in daytime history and the most ever won in an episode that ended in a double overbid)
    • $114,755 on November 11
  • Six Pricing Games played for cars were won this week. That's the most car games won in one week since the week of February 18-22 in Season 41
    (7 car game wins).
  • 18 Pricing Games were outright won this week. That has increased this season's overall win percentage to 46.58% - way ahead of the marks set in the previous six seasons. (The highest winning percentage during this span was 42.77% in Season 41.)
  • Plinko has offered something other than $5,000 or $10,000 in its center slot 11 times in daytime history (Publishers Clearing House Week in Season 40, the Plinko 30th anniversary special in Season 42, Big Money Week in Seasons 41-43). The center slot was hit only once in these 11 playings - on April 9, 2012 when the center slot was worth $20,000.
  • On Friday, Range Game was played for a car and it was won. That snapped an 11 game car losing streak for this game. Prior to this playing, Range Game had last been won when it was played for a car on April 12, 2010.
  • Also on Friday, the target in Take Two was $8,155 - the largest total used in this game since at least the start of Season 32.
  • So far this season, eight Showcases have been offered that were worth more than $40,000. Friday's $41,535 Showcase was the only one out of these eight that wound up being won.
  • Not only did the cash games get a bump in their prizes this week, but the value of the one bids were increased as well. Prior this week, the most expensive one bid offered this season was 2 smart phones worth $2,958 on November 7. This week had 9 one bids that were at least $3,000 in value, including a $3,935 Dev Valencia necklace on November 10. The neckalce was the most expensive one bid offered since a $4,450 trip to Ojai on February 5, 2013.
  • Combined, the six one bids offered on Monday's episode totalled $17,836. That's the most expensive one bid total for one episode since June 19, 2009 ($18,484).
  • There have been seven episodes this season where both Pricing Games played for a car were won. Dice Game was played in three of those episodes (October 3, October 16, November 10).
  • By being played second on Thursday and fifth on Friday, Plinko and 1 Right became the first two Pricing Games to be played in all six slots at least once this season. Both games achieved this feat in just six playings.
Comments for the Week of November 17-21
  • Biggest winner this week: Brandy Miratsky ($42,394) (November 20)
  • It was a story of contrasts on Monday's episode. Coming or Going and Double Cross were both won, which improved their records to a perfect 5-0 and 3-0, respectively. Conversely, Money Game and Pick-a-Number were both lost, which dropped their records to 1-6 and 0-4, respectively.
  • On Tuesday, Bullseye was played first for only the second time since the start of Season 28. (It was also played first on May 21 of last season.) Bullseye was also played for a car for the first time since January 4, 2013. Overall, Bullseye has now been played for a car five times since the start of Season 29 and has a record of 2-3 in these five playings.
  • Also on Tuesday, Patrick failed to roll at least one exact number in Dice Game. That snapped a streak of six straight playings with at least one perfect roll.
  • On Wednesday, Secret "X" was played first for only the second time since the start of Season 16. (It was also played first on November 13, 2012.)
  • Also on Wednesday, Triple Play was played third for the first time ever and in a slot other than first for only the second time in its history. Unfortunately, the different slotting did not help break this game's losing streak that is about to extend into an eighth year. (The game was last won on December 6, 2007.)
  • On Thursday, Teresa rolled $5,000 in Let 'em Roll, but decided to keep playing for the car. Last time a contestant passed up $5,000: March 9, 2009. Since the start of Season 32, the record for the most money refused is $5,500 on October 24, 2008 (that contestant wound up losing the car and instead went home with $500).
  • Thursday's playing of Pocket ¢hange (only one mistake made) was the best performance in this game since May 14, 2012 (also a 50¢ car). The last perfect playing of this game was May 28, 2009.
  • On Friday, Push Over was lost for only the second time this season. The loss also snapped a five game winning streak for this game.
  • Incidentally, Push Over was played for a Summerset Outdoor Living barbecue island in both of its losses this season.
    (For the record, all other Pricing Games have a combined record of 4-1 when played for a Summerset barbecue this season.)
  • Also on Friday, a contestant failed to get the Big Wheel all the way around four times. That's the most failed attempts for one contestant since the start of Season 30. The next closest is a contestant on the May 31, 2013 episode that got booed three times.
  • The difference between the value of both prizes in Friday's playing of Magic # ($3,542) was the second largest spread in this game's history (slightly behind the $3,596 spread from the May 20, 2013 playing).
  • By being played third on Monday and sixth on Wednesday, Money Game and That's Too Much! became the third and fourth Pricing Games, respectively, to be played in all six slots at least once this season.
Comments for the Week of November 24-26 & December 1
  • Biggest winner this week: Danny Calles ($39,039) (December 1)
  • On November 26, Check-Out was lost by a mere 3 cents. That was the most painful loss in this game since at least Season 32. (Previous low: an 8 cent loss on June 26, 2013.)
  • Also on November 26, Clock Game was played for a car. The last known time Clock Game was played for a car was February 9, 1984. (Of course, in that playing, the car was one of the two main prizes and not just merely a bonus prize.)
  • There were 4 $1 bids in the six one bid rounds on the November 26 episode - the most $1 bids in an episode this season.
  • On December 1, Cover Up was won in just two tries. That was only the third time in the past four seasons where Cover Up was won in less than three tries. The other 13 wins during this span was won in three or more tires. (Cover Up was last won on the first try on June 12, 2007.)
  • Also on December 1, Dice Game became the third Pricing Game to give away more than $100,000 in prizes this season. (The other two Pricing Games, Grand Game and Rat Race, exceeded this mark mostly because of Big Money Week.)
  • Tracy got two small prizes exactly right on the December 1 playing of Cliff Hangers. Last time that's happened: March 5, 2013. (The last time Cliff Hangers was played perfectly was June 4, 2002.)
  • The December 1 episode was the seventh time this season where at least five Pricing Games were fully won. At this point last season, there had been only one episode with 5/6 Pricing Games won.
Comments for the Week of December 8-12
  • Biggest winner this week: Collin O'Kane ($36,636) (December 8)
  • On Tuesday, Chad became the second contestant this season to take the money and quit in Spelling Bee. Overall, 17 contestants have quit since the card values were increased to $1,000 at the start of Season 36 (out of 51 total playings = 33%). By comparison, only 9 contestants quit between seasons 29 and 35 (out of 71 total playings = 13%).
  • Robert won both keys in Master Key on Wednesday's episode. In the past four seasons, only four contestants (including Robert) have gotten both small prizes right (out of 21 total playings). Two of those contestants went on to win the car.
  • Also on Wednesday, James went over in the Showcase Showdown despite spinning 5 cents on his first spin. In the past three seasons, 7 contestants (including James) have been unlucky enough to spin 1.00 after spinning a nickel.
  • On Thursday, Most Expen$ive:
    • Became the first Pricing Game to be played 10 times this season.
    • Became the fifth Pricing Game to be played in all six slots at least once this season. (Most Expen$ive has achieved this feat for the seventh straight season.)
    • Was lost for only the second time this season. That snapped a five game winning streak for this game (based on actual airdates). Nevertheless, 8 wins is still the most wins for a Pricing Game this season.
  • Also on Thursday, Erin picked an ace in her very first draw in Card Game. Last time that's happened: September 22, 2009.
  • Since 32, 33 aces have been drawn in Card Game. The game's record in those 33 playings is 13-20.
  • Card Game was also played fourth this week for the first time since February 19, 2009.
  • 2 for the Price of 1 was the only Pricing Game won on Friday's episode. Other Pricing Games that saved an episode from going winless this season: 1 Wrong Price (Sep. 22), Range Game (Oct. 9), Swap Meet (Oct. 22), Magic # (Nov. 21)
  • Some new season marks were set this week:
    • The $20,283 Showcase offered on Thursday was the cheapest Showcase offered this season.
    • The trip Daytona Beach, won in Friday's Showcase, was the 100th trip won this season.
    • Matthew's overbid in Friday's Showcase ($8,246) was the biggest overbid of the season.
Comments for the Week of December 15-19
  • Biggest winner this week: Clay Salmon ($41,685) (December 15)
  • On Monday, Take Two was lost for the first time this season, snapping a five game winning streak dating back to March 11, 2014.
  • The target used in Monday's playing of Take Two ($3,144) was the smallest target used in this game since March 21, 2012 ($2,951).
  • By being played fifth on Monday's episode, Lucky $even became the sixth Pricing Game to be played in all six slots at least once this season. This is the third straight season where Lucky $even has achieved this feat.
  • Since the $2,500 slip was introduced in Punch a Bunch in Season 40, the amount has been found 31 times. In these instances, it was kept 12 times, given back 10 times, found on the final punch (and automatically kept) 6 times and found after quitting 3 times.
  • Combined, the two Showcases offered on Tuesday were the cheapest Showcases offered this season ($45,735).
  • On Wednesday, James O'Halloran helped Betty spin the Big Wheel. James is the first cast member besides Drew or Bob to spin the big wheel since at least the start of Season 29.
  • So far this season, 8 contestants have needed help to spin the big wheel. All 8 of these contestants wound up taking the maximum two spins.
  • On Thursday, Coming or Going was lost for the first time this season. That snapped a seven game winning streak for this game for this season, and a twelve game winning streak dating back to May 6 of last season.
  • With Coming or Going's loss, that leaves Bullseye (5-0), Double Cross (4-0), 2 for the Price of 1 (3-0), Now....or Then (2-0) and Hole in One (1-0) as the only undefeated games this season.
  • Also on Thursday, 1 Right Price was lost when played for two trips for the first time since April 26, 2013. That snapped a seven game streak where 1 Right Price was won when played for two trips.
  • On Friday, Push Over was lost when played for a car for the first time since October 13, 2005. That snapped a 13 game streak where Push Over was won when played for a car.
  • Pick-a-Number was won for the first time this season on Friday's episode, snapping a five game losing streak for this game.
  • The $72 slushie maker, offered in Friday's playing of Rat Race, was the most expensive 2-digit prize ever offered in this game. (The previous high was $70.)
  • Geneva underbid on this slushie maker by $42. That ties the record for the largest miss of the 2-digit prize in Rat Race.
  • One of the first four contestants failed to win a one bid in all five episodes this week, including the contestant at the red podium on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday episodes.
  • For the second straight week (and for the fourth time this season), only one Pricing Game that was played for a car was won this week. Car games that saved us from being skunked in these four weeks: Cover Up (Sep. 22-26), Card Game (Oct. 20-24), Money Game (Dec. 8-12), Dice Game (Dec. 15-19).
Comments for the Week of December 22-26
  • Biggest winners this week: Giselle Moody ($108,894) (December 23) - that places Giselle 7th on the all-time biggest daytime winners list.
    Luke Sikorski ($80,061) (December 22) - Luke is the fifth $80,000+ winner this season.
  • Squeeze Play was lost on Monday's episode, snapping a five game winning streak dating back to October 22 of this season.
  • Squeeze Play has now been played 10 times this season - Squeeze Play was played for a trip in 7 of those playings.
  • The $54,863 Lexus, won in Monday's playing of 3 Strikes, is the most expensive car ever won in this game. (Previous high: a $53,910 Chevrolet Corvette, won on September 18, 2006.)
  • On Tuesday, Golden Road was won for the first time since February 20, 2007. (The first win in daytime since Drew became host). That snapped a 29 game losing streak for this game.
  • Not only did Giselle win Golden Road, she also went on to win her Showcase. The last time a Showcase winner also won Golden Road was February 24, 1995.
  • Also on Tuesday, the free "X" in Secret "X" was placed in the middle row. That has not happened since at least Season 29, and quite possibly not since its inagural season in 1977.
  • On Wednesday, Triple Play was played second for the first time in its history.
  • On Friday, Bonus Game was played second for the first time since April 12, 2010.
  • Bonus Game has now been lost 3 times this season. The game has been lost more times this season than in seasons 41 and 42 combined (1 loss in each season).
  • This was the first time since the week of December 18-22, 2006 where Golden Road, 3 Strikes and Triple Play were all played in the same week.
