Comments for the Week of March 2-6
  • Biggest winners this week: Hilda Plascencia ($53,666) (March 5), Dion Rose ($51,841) (March 3)
    Monday
  • Pick-a-Pair was lost for the fifth time this season, dropping its record to 4-5. Pick-a-Pair is in danger of having a losing record for the first time since at least Season 29. That's quite the turnaround for a game that had a record of 179-42 (81% win rate) between seasons 29 and 42.
  • For the first time this season, a contestant landed on 85 cents in a bonus spin. Every amount on the Big Wheel has now been landed on at least once in bonus spins this season. (The most frequent score is 60 cents, which has been landed on 11 times this season.)
    Tuesday
  • Anne won $8,000 in Pass the Buck, which is the most cash won in this game amongst contestants that also won the car. (The previous high was $5,000, which has happened multiple times.)
  • Anne also became the first contestant to risk $8,000 and try for the car on their third pick. (There has been three other instances where contestants won 3 picks and won $8,000 in their first two picks - May 28, 2002, January 25, 2008 and July 1, 2008. All three contestants quit in those playings.)
  • Last time contestants won Pass the Buck when the car was placed behind...
    #1December 23, 2014
    #2September 24, 2010
    #3January 19, 2015
    #4November 26, 2013
    #5November 15, 2011
    #6March 3, 2015
  • In 4/5 episodes this season featuring a Cover Up win, the other Pricing Game played for a car was also won. Dice Game (with 5) is the only car game that has been played in more episodes featuring two car game wins this season.
  • After having the largest spread in the game's history last week ($3,896), the difference between both prizes in this week's playing of Magic # ($1,299) was the smallest since May 22, 2012 ($919) (17 playings ago).
    Wednesday
  • Ricki's first shot in Bullseye was $27.45 (5 @ $5.49), which was $15.45 above the target. That's the largest miss in this game since at least Season 32. (Previous high: $25.90 on June 17, 2004.)
    Thursday
  • Bargain Game was the 300th Pricing Game to be fully won this season (if you count $10,000+ wins in Plinko as a win).
  • James became the first contestant to quit with money in Gas Money since April 16 of last season. $5,000 is also the smallest bailout since a contestant quit with $3,000 on September 24, 2012.
  • Thanks to the double Showcase win, Hilda became the 20th $50,000+ winner this season.
  • The $8 Showcase difference was the best Showcase bid since the perfect bid on December 16, 2008. Hilda is the fourth contestant to get within $10 of their Showcase since Season 29.
    Friday
  • The $4,290 Reem Acra dress was the most expensive one bid offered on the show since a $4,450 trip to Ojai was offered on February 5, 2013. (It was also the first $4,000+ one bid since this February 5, 2013 episode.)
  • Vicki won the dress with a bid of $2,001 - a $1,893 miss. That's the largest underbid by a winning contestant this season, and the largest since April 23 of last season ($1,900).
  • Shell Game was played first for the first time since January 19, 2007.
  • For the first time this season, a contestant placed their free "X" in Secret "X" on the bottom row. Frequency of the placement since Season 32: On the top row (80.4%), on the middle row (0.7%), on the bottom row (18.9%)
Comments for the Week of March 9-13 + March 16
  • Biggest winner: Allison Foschia ($42,188) (March 13)
  • Although 3 male contestants won their way to the Showcase, all six Showcase winners were female.
    Monday (March 9)
  • The win in Secret "X" was the 300th Pricing Game to be fully won this season. (This stat does not consider $10,000+ partial wins in Plinko to be a "win".)
  • Thanks to some episodes airing out of order, Magic # was played 3 times in a span of 8 episodes (February 26, March 3, March 9) - the same number of times Magic # was played in all of Season 42.
  • Squeeze Play was won for the 13th time this season, increasing its total winnings to $101,415. Squeeze Play becomes the ninth Pricing Game to surpass $100,000 in winnings this season, and is one of only two Pricing Games (along with Most Expen$ive) to achieve this feat despite not offering any prizes in excess of $10,000 in any of its playings.
    Tuesday (March 10)
  • Most Expen$ive was lost for the first time since December 23, 2014, which snapped a seven game winning streak for this game. With the loss, Bullseye continues to have the longest winning streak of the season (with 8 wins - this excludes three additional wins at the end of Season 42) - a streak that is still active.
    Wednesday (March 11)
  • Money Game became the first Pricing Game to be played 20 times this season. If this holds, Money Game would end up being the most frequently played game in a season for the first time since Season 35. However, with Flip Flop, Lucky $even, Most Expen$ive and Squeeze Play all at 19 playings, this achievement is far from guaranteed.
  • Despite being the most frequently played car game, Dice Game (9-2) and not Money Game (7-13) is the car game with the most wins this season.
  • For the second time this season, Money Game was the only car game won in a 5-day week.
  • So far this season, Danger Price is 2-0 when the "danger price" is the second most expensive prize, but 0-5 when it's the second least expensive prize. The "danger" price" has not yet been either the most expensive or the least expensive prize this season.
  • Ashley did not get any prizes right in both of her tries in Switcheroo. Last time that's happened: June 5, 2013.
  • Last time the car was won in Switcheroo when a contestant got all five prizes wrong on their first try: May 24, 2012.
    Friday (March 13)
  • Thanks to the $11,100 win, Plinko has now exceeded $100,000 in cash winnings this season ($105,100). Plinko achieved this feat in 17 playings this season - on par with last season (it took 16 playings to surpass the $100,000 mark in Season 42).
  • $11,500 was the smallest Showcase bid of the season and the smallest since a $1 bid on May 27, 2014.
    Monday (March 16)
  • Line em Up was won for the first time this season, snapping an 0-5 record and a six game losing streak dating back to June 5 of last season.
  • With the win, Triple Play is now the only Pricing Game that has been fully lost (no partial wins) in all of its playings this season. This is nothing new - Triple Play was also the only game that failed to pick up at least one win or partial win in Season 42.
(While winless so far this season, Pay the Rent, Plinko, Punch a Bunch and Step Up have been partially won.)
  • $20,466 was the second cheapest Showcase won by a contestant this season (Behind the $20,283 Showcase won on December 10).
  • Spelling Bee cards that have gone the longest without being chosen:
    #27December 11, 2008
    #25October 1, 2009
    #14August 31, 2011
    #13May 7, 2012
    #16February 6, 2013
Comments for the Week of March 23-27
  • Biggest winner this week: Michael Levine ($51,182) (March 27)
  • Showcase stats for this week:
    • $230 (Monday) was the third smallest Showcase overbid of the season.
    • There was a $619 difference between the value of both Showcases on Tuesday's episode - the smallest variance of the season.
    • Both Showcases on Wednesday's episode totalled $45,460. Combined, they were the third cheapest Showcases offered in an episode this season.
    • On Friday, Michael won the Showcase round by $423 - the third closest Showcase result of the season.
    Monday
  • The $11.99 sunscreen was almost certainly the most expensive grocery product ever used in Bullseye, surpassing the $10.99 k-cups used in this year's February 5 playing. Will we ever see a $12.00 item, the highest possible product?
  • At 9-0, Bullseye is now the only Pricing Game that has not been lost this season. Will Bullseye become the first game since Bonus Game (6-0 in Season 37) to go an entire season without being lost?
    Tuesday
  • Now....or Then was lost for the first time this season and for the first time since May 28, 2014.
  • Now....or Then was also played third for the first time since May 9, 2013.
  • Both "then" products (Flintstones vitamins and Little Debbie honey buns) did appear on episodes that aired in December 2000 - the honey buns appeared on December 11; the vitamins appeared on December 14 and 22.
  • Jeremy won exactly two prizes in Master Key (he won two keys and opened one lock with each key). Last time that's happened: April 30, 2009.
    Wednesday
  • By being played third, Push Over became the 15th Pricing Game to be played in all six slots at least once this season. Push Over has achieved this feat for the third straight season.

  • Thursday
  • Only one trip was offered in this episode (in Side by Side) - the fewest trips offered in an episode since May 26 of last season.
  • Side by Side was lost for the tenth time this season. At a current record of 7-10, Side by Side is struggling compared to last season (19-8).
  • Patricia was the first contestant to take the cash and quit in Pass the Buck since January 14, 2010. (That contestant also went home with $6,000.) The biggest cash bailout in this game was $8,000, happening most recently on July 1, 2008.
  • Pass the Buck was played in the first half for the first time this season. This is not a new trend - since premiering in Season 30, Pass the Buck has been played in the second half 71% of the time (144/203).
  • Despite Fern's valiant effort, Clock Game was lost on the first prize for the first time since April 9, 2012.
    Friday
  • Dice Game became the first car game to be won 10 times this season. Dice Game is well ahead in this category - Any Number and Money Game are in second place with only 7 wins.
(With 11, Money Game was the car game with the most wins last season.)
  • 10 is already the most wins for Dice Game in a single season since it went 11-12 in Season 36.
  • Hole #19 (row 2, column 9) has been selected two times in Punch a Bunch this season. Both times, the hole held a $5,000 slip.
  • Drew has now made 4 straight inspiration putts in Hole in One. Drew has now made the same number of putts this season than he did in Seasons 36-42, combined.
  • By getting to Line #3, Margaret snapped a streak of eight straight playings (dating back to January 28 of last season) where contestants putted from the two furthest lines from the hole. Overall, only two contestants in the past three seasons have putted from one of the three closest lines to the hole.

    Tuesday
