Comments for the Week of April 27-May 1
  • Biggest winner this week: Marjorie Henson ($51,094) (April 29)
  • So far this season, 41.16% of Showcase Showdowns (121/294) have been won by the contestant spinning last. That's significantly better than the 35.72% win rate for the third spinner between seasons 29 and 42.

  • Grocery Game was won for the first time since October 7, 2014, which snapped a six game losing streak for this game.
  • Grocery Game has now been won five straight times when contestants end up purchasing at least three different grocery products. By comparison, during this span, the game has a record of 3-16 when contestants only used one or two products.
  • In Punch a Bunch, hole #46 (row 5, column 6) has contained a $5,000 slip the last three times it was selected (October 31, 2013, January 20, 2014, April 27, 2015). (Prior to this current streak, the hole contained $500 or less 9 straight times.)

  • Dice Game was won for the 12th time this season, which is the most wins for a car game in a single season since Money Game picked up 13 wins in Season 41.
  • 12 is also the most wins for Dice Game in a single season since it went 16-13 in Season 34.
  • Side By Side was won for the first time since February 11, 2015, snapping a five game losing streak for this game (or a 6 game losing streak, based on actual airdates).

  • Five trips were won (2 in Switch?, 3 in the Showcase), which is the most trips won in a single episode in the past two seasons.
  • Line em Up was played fourth for the 4th time this season, and for the 10th time in the past three seasons. Prior to Season 41, Line em Up had been played fourth only 4 times in its history.
  • Line em Up is the car game that has been played fourth most frequently in the past three seasons, followed by That's Too Much! (8 times), Money Game (6 times) and Stack the Deck (6 times).
  • The $37.99 Nature Made vitamins was the most expensive grocery product used in It's in the Bag since at least the start of Season 32.

  • For the first time since at least the start of Season 32, a game of Let 'em Roll ended without the contestant rolling any cars (ie: the contestant quit after rolling cash on all five dice).
  • Last time a contestant rolled a cash "yahtzee": March 9, 2009. (2 $1,500, 1 $1,000, 2 $500 - that contestant continued rolling and eventually wound up winning $1,500.)
  • Since the start of Season 32, four contestants have managed to roll all cash with their first roll. All four contestants failed to win the car, and instead won $5,000, $500, $1,500 and $5,000.
  • $28,500 in cash has been won in Let 'em Roll this season, which is already the most cash won in this game since at least Season 32 (Previous high: $22,000 in Season 33).

  • Some slumps busted this week:
    • All three Pricing Games were won in the same half of an episode (May 5, May 6, May 7) for the first time since April 1, 2015.
    • Both Pricing Games played for a car were won on the same episode (on May 7 - Hole in One and One Away) for the first time since March 27 (Dice Game and Hole in One).
    • Five Pricing Games were won on the same episode (May 5) for the first time since the April 1, 2015 episode.

  • By being played fourth, It's in the Bag became the 18th Pricing Game to be played in all six slots at least once this season. It's in the Bag last achieved this feat in Season 41. It's in the Bag is also the third cash game to achieve this feat this season (along with Plinko and Punch a Bunch).

  • Omar bid $12,000 on a fireplace - the highest bid in a one bid round since a $13,000 bid on jewelry on the April 11, 2013 episode.
  • Shopping Spree became the 400th Pricing Game to be fully won this season. (This count does not include $10,000+ Plinko wins.)
    Wednesday
  • Melissa Ordway handed off the microphone to Drew at the start of the episode, which was the first time this season someone other than Amber, Gwen, Manuela and Rachel got to do this important task. Melissa had last done a handoff on the November 19, 2013 episode.
  • Lucky $even has had some impressive wins this season - once it was won with $6 left and twice it was won with $5 left. Between Seasons 32 and 42, each feat happened only once ($6 left) and 7 times ($5 left).
  • Spelling Bee was played fifth for the first time since September 11, 2013.
  • As the first spinner, Danielle chose to spin again on 75 cents. In the past two seasons, all other contestants stayed with a score of 70 or higher.

  • The Price is Right train made an appearance for the first time since the January 14, 2015 episode. Meanwhile, the Price is Right tugboat has not been used since Hunter King and Matthew Atkinson got to ride it on the October 14, 2014 episode.
  • Robin failed to eliminate any of the boxes in 1/2 Off. Last time that's happened: April 3, 2014. Unfortunately, while the contestant in the April 3, 2014 playing miraculously wound up picking the box that contained the $10,000 (the second time that's happened in the game's history), Robin did not have same luck.
    (Incidentally, the cash was placed in Box #14 in both of these playings.)
  • Overall, #14 has been the winning box most often in 1/2 Off's history. The cash has been placed in Box #14 23 times, with only 4 contestants managing to win the money in these playings.
  • Drew has now made five straight inspiration putts in Hole in One. That's on par with Bob's putting performance in his later seasons. Bob's longest streak in Seasons 32-35 was 6 successful putts, between February 9, 2006-November 3, 2006.

  • Shell Game was played for a car for the first time since January 19, 2007 and for the first time since the "double your money" bonus was implemented.
  • Overall, Shell Game has been played for a car five times since Season 29, with contestants winning less than four chips in all five of those playings (3 chips once, 2 chips three times, 1 chip once). Shell Game has a record of 4-1 in those playings.
Comments for the Week of May 11-15
  • Biggest winner this week: Dianne Parker ($48,819) (May 14)
  • For the first time in the past two seasons, all Pricing Games played for a trip in a 5-day week were lost.
    Monday
  • In Rat Race, Michael missed the frozen dessert maker by $570 ($700 bid on a $130 prize). That is the biggest miss for the 3-digit prize in this game's history, topping a $450 miss on the November 12, 2011 episode.
  • In Bargain Game, the $5,169 steam shower was the most expensive prize offered in this game (excluding trips) since a $5,195 home gym was offered on the May 16, 2013 episode. (The home gym is the most expensive prize offered in Bargain Game since at least Season 30.)
  • The 7 playings of Temptation this season have been very consistent: All cars were valued between $19,235 and $21,960 and the total value of all gift packages were between $5,061 and $5,792.
  • Torrey became the eighth contestant to win $11,000 in the Showcase Showdown this season. That's the most $11,000 winners in a season since there was 11 in Season 39.

  • 20 cents was the lowest winning score in a spin-off since February 12, 2014 (20 cents beat a dime) and February 6, 2014 (a dime beat a nickel).
  • Only $598 separated the value of both Showcases ($32,798 and $33,396), which is the smallest difference of the season.

  • That's Too Much! became the first Pricing Game to be lost 20 times this season. That's Too Much! has now been lost at least 20 times in 6 out of the past 7 seasons, accumulating a record of 40-169 during this span. (That's Too Much was only played 20 times in the season where it did not reach 20 losses.)
  • Only $33 separated both bidders at the end of the Showcase ($1,139 and $1,172). That was the closest Showcase result since a $12 difference on June 24, 2013.
  • Robert failed to win his Showcase despite missing it by only $1,172. That was the best bid from a non-Showcase winner since a $970 difference on June 24, 2014.
Comments for the Week of May 18-22
  • Biggest winner this week: Shannon Hartmann ($82,195) (May 20) - Shannon is the fourth biggest winner so far this season, and the sixth contestant to win more than $80,000 this season.
  • So far this season, 44.5% of contestants bidding last wound up winning the item up for bids. That's better than the Season 29-42 win rate of 39.1%, with a high of 42.9% in Season 29.

  • All four prizes were won in More or Less for the first time since December 30, 2014, snapping a six game streak where the car was not won.
  • For the first time this season, Push Over was setup to be won by sending the first five blocks to China. Since Season 40, the last possible price has been right only 5 times.
  • Last time Push Over was won when last possible price was right (4-digit prizes only): March 27, 2008. Push Over has since been lost 23 straight times when it was set up this way. (This excludes the September 21, 2009 technical win.)

  • $1,100 was the cheapest "box of cash" gift offered in Temptation since $550 was offered on November 6, 2013. The average cash prize offered in Temptation in the past two seasons is $2,562, which a high of $3,663 on June 4, 2014.
  • The win in Cover Up was the 100th car game win of the season. The current win rate for car games is 31.17% this season, which is slightly better than last season (30.26%). If that win rate holds, it would be the best result since Season 37 (32.99%).
  • By being played fifth, Bonkers became the 19th Pricing Game to be played in all six slots at least once this season. Bonkers has achieved this feat for the second straight season.
  • Most Expen$ive became the first Pricing Game to be won 20 times this season. This is the first time since at least Season 29 where Most Expen$ive was won more than 20 times in a single season. (The previous high during this span was 19 wins in Season 41.)

  • For the first time since May 16, 2014 and for only the fifth time in the past 16 seasons, Cover Up was lost with the contestant having less than 2 numbers right.
  • Stack the Deck was won for the first time since January 6, which snapped a six game losing streak for this game.
  • This was Stack the Deck's second win of the season. Last time Stack the Deck was won more than once in a single season: Season 39.
  • Stack the Deck has now been won 20 times since premiering in Season 35 (in 119 playings), with over half of those wins (11) occurring in Seasons 35 and 36.
  • At $46,631, the Honolulu/Ford Mustang convertible Showcase was the most expensive Showcase won since a $49,274 Showcase was won on November 11, 2013.

  • Based on the available information, Any Number was played for the 1500th time in daytime on Thursday. Any Number is the 3rd Pricing Game to reach 1500 playings, after Double Prices and Most Expen$ive both hit the 1500 mark in Season 42.
  • The next game to hit 1500 playing will likely be Money Game (currently at 1438) sometime in Season 45.

  • Since premiering in Season 32, 13 contestants have failed to eliminate any boxes in 1/2 Off. In those 13 playings, Box #7 was picked most often (5 times), followed by Boxes #3 and #4 (twice each) and Boxes #10, 11, 14 and 16 (once each).

  • Rachel has shown off every single "Price is Right Look of the Week" this season, except on October 1 (Manuela) and October 14 (Hunter King and Matthew Atkinson). The average value of the "Look of the Week" is $2,016 this season, with a high of $3,040 on November 10 and a low of $901 on June 5.

  • Lucky $even was lost for the 20th time this season. This game has now been lost at least 20 times in each of the past eight seasons, with a high of 28 losses in Season 39.
  • Hole in One was played for the ninth time this season, which is the most playings for this game in a single season since it was played 10 times in Season 36.

  • Matthew overbid on the first Showcase by $16,609, which is by far the biggest overbid of the season. The second biggest overbid was $8,360 from the May 29 episode. It was also the biggest overbid since a $25,930 overbid on September 20, 2011 ($59,900 bid on a $34,061 Showcase).
    Thursday
  • Let 'em Roll was played second for the first time since May 3, 2013.
  • Akadama failed to win his Showcase even though he was only $520 away from its actual retail price. That is the best bid by a contestant in a losing cause since a $483 difference on the May 14, 2010 episode.
  • Ultimately, only $24 separated both contestants in the Showcase round (differences of $496 and $520). That was the closest Showcase result since a $12 difference between both bidders on June 24, 2013.
    Friday
  • Brent only managed to try four combinations in Time i$ Money. That is the fewest tries ever attempted in a losing effort (no money won) in this game.
  • Brent was the 9th contestant this season that (a) spun first, (b) spun 65 cents on their first spin and (c) chose to spin again. While the other 8 contestants all went over on their next spin, Brent bucked this trend by improving his score and advancing to the Showcase.
Comments for the Week of June 8-12
  • Biggest winner this week: Meghan Cagnin ($47,841) (June 9)
  • The most frequently played Pricing Games so far this season are Lucky $even, Most Expen$ive and Squeeze Play, all with 28 playings. With only 13 episodes remaining, we are going to struggle to have even one game reach 30 playings this season. By comparison, 6 games were played at least 30 times in Season 42, with Plinko leading the way with 37 playings. The lowest ever "most frequently played game" is Money Game when it was played 31 times in Season 35. There's a good chance we could break that record this season, which is even more impressive considering this season will have 15 more episodes than in Season 35.
  • The daily winnings on each episode in the past two weeks were $65,756, $62,180, $86,705, $67,073, $67,519, $89,440, $62,378, $65,497, $62,935 and $63,020. In other words, between $62,000-$68,000 was won on 8/10 episodes in the past two weeks.
  • Since no Pricing Games were won on the May 19 episode, we have gone on a streak of 18 straight episodes where at least two Pricing Games were fully won. Overall, there have been 17 episodes with fewer than two Pricing Game wins this season, compared to 34 in Season 42, 28 in Season 41, 45 in Season 40, 56 in Season 39, 57 in Season 38 and 49 in Season 37.

  • The top-most prices were right in Double Cross for the first time since May 26 of last season and for only the fifth time in the game's history. Double Cross has only been won once (May 1, 2013) when set up in this manner.
  • The $27,990 Dodge Challenger is the most expensive single car ever won in That's Too Much! (daytime only). The previous biggest win was $25,930 on November 14, 2007. (This excludes the pair of Hyundai Accents worth $34,040 that were won back on April 13.)

  • 10 Chances was played for the eighth time this season, which is the most playings for this game since it was played 8 times in Season 37. 10 Chances last hit double digits in Season 36 (11 playings) .
  • Jonathan failed to win the second prize in 10 Chances. Last time that's happened: November 15, 2012.
  • Dice Game has also seen an increase in play. It was played for the 18th time this season, which is the most playings for this game since it was played 23 times in Season 36. (During that span, Dice Game had not been played more than 15 times in any season.)
  • Bargain Game became the 25th Pricing Game to give away more than $100,000 in cash and prizes this season. The top three Pricing Games in terms of winnings are currently Dice Game ($239,233), Rat Race (approx. $234,000) and Money Game ($193,964).
  • Only $463 separated the value of both Showcases ($24,268 and $23,805) which is the smallest difference so far this season.

  • 1 Right Price was won for the 10th straight time, which is only the second dougle digit winning streak this season (along with Bullseye's current 11-0 winning streak).
  • During this winning streak, the prize on the right was the "one right price" 9 out of 10 times. (Overall, contestants had to pick the prize on the right in 18 out of the 26 1 Right Price playings this season.)
  • Punch a Bunch is in danger of going an entire season without having a contestant win one of the two top prizes for only the second time since Season 29. (It also happened in Season 40).
  • The two "then" products (December 2001) in Now..or Then were the Eggland's eggs and the Vicks Vaporub ointment. Both products also made numerous appearances on episodes of the Price is Right that aired in December 2001. The eggs appeared four times (December 5-7, 26) and the ointment appeared eight times (December 11-12, 14, 17, 19-21, 24).

  • $273,000 has now been won in the Showcase Showdowns this season, which surpasses last year's total of $270,000 even though there have been fewer bonus spins this season (83 compared to 100).
  • Line em Up was won on the first try for the first time since January 29 of last season.
  • In the past five seasons, 10 contestants have gotten to the $16,000 bag in It's in the Bag. 4 went on to win $16,000, 2 lost at the final bag (February 6, 2014 and June 12, 2015) and 4 quit (with all 4 having the $16,000 bag right).
  • The Kia Rio, won in the Showcase, was the 200th car won this season. The show is on pace to give away 214 cars this season, which would be slightly better than the 211 won last season.
Comments for the Week of June 15-19
  • Biggest winner this week: Joseph Falzone ($68,619) (June 15) - Joseph is the ninth biggest winner so far this season.
  • Several 2-prize "quick" games have been a hot streak over the past few months: 1 Right Price and Switch? have both been won 10 straight times and Bargain Game has been won 6 straight times. Overall, the 2-prize games have a record of 101-55 (64.52%) this season, with only Do the Math (8-12), Safe Crackers (3-5) having losing records.
    Monday
  • In addition to riding a 10 game winning streak, Switch? has also been won 10 straight times when it has been played for two trips. The last time it was lost when played for trips was June 28, 2013.
  • In Money Game, the "current season number" was the last two digits in the price of the car for the first time since February 18, 2013 ($22,841). Since the top centre choice consistently became the "current season number" in Season 35, that choice was right only 9 times (4% of the time).
  • With the win, Money Game's total winnings increased to $209,440, becoming the third Pricing Game (along with Dice Game and Rat Race) to exceed $200,000 in winnings this season.
    Tuesday
  • Where the last 14 revealed "CAR" cards have been placed in Spelling Bee (Since Season 37): #22, #10, #24, #11, #18, #15, #30, #29, #8, #29, #8, #29, #19, #7. While there appeared to be a trend of the "CAR" cards being placed behind cards #8 and #29 in Seasons 38-40, that pattern is no longer apparent.
  • Robert became the second contestant this season to spin two nickels in the Showcase Showdown. It also happened on the February 2 episode.

  • 2 for the Price of 1 was the 500th Pricing Game to be fully won this season (if you include $10,000+ partial wins in Plinko as full wins.). This is the first time since Season 36 where the Pricing Game wins in a single season have exceeded 500.
  • A contestant chose Key #5 (furthest from the host) in Master Key for the first time since May 7, 2013.
  • Since Season 30, Key #5 has been chosen 22 times and has either opened the car lock or has been the master key in 15 of those playings.

  • $16,000 was won in It's in the Bag for only the second time this season, snapping a streak of 9 straight playings where less than $16,000 was won.
  • Previous time It's in the Bag was won two times in the same season: Season 36.

  • For the first time since March 26 of last season, all three contestants called in the second half (before the fourth, fifth and sixth item up for bids) wound up winning their way up on stage.
  • For the first time since March 11 of last season, the correct path in Pathfinder ended on the inside of the board. This has happened seven times since Season 32, and the game was lost in all seven occurences.
  • This was also the first time this season in Pathfinder where the four choices for the second digit weren't all in incremental order by 1 (ie: 6, 7, 8, 9) and the fourth digit wasn't placed on the outside of the board.
Comments for the Week of June 22-26

  • As of Friday's episode, the total approximate winnings for this season is $13,166,000, which has surpassed Season 39 (approximately $13,002,000) for the most cash and prizes ever given away in a single season.
  • 15 different non-car Pricing Games were played for a car at least once this season , which is the most since at least Season 29.

  • Punch a Bunch's total cash winnings for the season is currently $32,300, which will end a streak of 5 straight seasons of increasing winnings ($20,500, $22,400, $39,100, $73,350 and $80,000 in Seasons 38, 39, 40, 41 and 42, respectively).
  • For the first time this season, it took less than six picks for a contestant to completely reveal the price of one of the prizes in Any Number.
  • At the start of the week, the three Pricing Games played in the second half (Bullseye, Switch?, Dice Game) had a combined record of 46-9 this season. Surprisingly, Bullseye wound up being the only game that was won.
  • With the win, Bullseye improved to 12-0 and is on the verge of becoming the first Pricing Game to go an entire season without being lost since Bonus Game (6-0) and Shell Game (3-0) were perfect in Season 37. This would also be Bullseye's first perfect season since it went 14-0 in Season 36.
  • With the loss, Switch? snapped a 10 game winning streak. That was the longest winning streak for this game since it was won 12 times in a row between the end of Season 36 and the start of Season 37. (However, Switch? did have another 10 game winning streak in Season 42.)
  • The loss also means Switch? stays stuck with 22 wins, giving Most Expen$ive a good chance of ending the season with the most Pricing Game wins (23 wins).

  • This was the first episode with low winnings in quite some time: Less than two Pricing Games were won for the first time since May 19 and less than $50,000 was won for the first time since May 28.
  • Plinko's total cash winnings for the season is currently $166,700, which is slightly below average. Since Season 29, the median season cash winnings is $212,550 with a low of $136,600 in Season 37 and a high of $306,500 in Season 36.
