*This was probably the worse episode out of the three million dollar spectaculars, but that doesn’t mean it was a terrible show. In fact, it was pretty good. There was some fun, great contestants, there was some nice surprises (Lucky $even fourth), some nice, impressive wins (Clock Game, Range Game) and some pretty good Showcases.
*Like on the two prior specials, three Pricing Games were won tonight. *Triple Play: Wow! This game was played for some fantastic cars! It’s unfortunate that it was lost. Tonight’s playing was somewhat tricky. The second price is usually right for the second car. However, $33,889 seemed too expensive for the car. So it was a tossup deciding whether to go with the norm or with what seemed right. *It’s in the Bag: Once again, $16,000 was the top prize. I wonder why they won’t raise it to $32,000. Anyway, tonight’s playing was difficult, especially the $8,000 and $16,000 bags. $3.20 and $4.76 could have easily went with the antacid, ranch dressing or dish detergent. *Clock Game: Finally a contestant used the 99 trick! Thanks to the trick, for the first time in a long time, the contestant nailed a prize on the first guess. Well done Candace! You really impressed me... even if you did bid $1,999 on the home gym at first. *Lucky Seven: Played fourth? This game keeps on surprising. I doubt many contestants would have won the convertible because its price was very mean. 1 was the second number (seemed higher than that), 2 was the fourth number and 8 was the fifth number. Why couldn’t it have been $43,465? *Range Game: At least they made up for the mean Lucky $even playing by placing the price of the truck in the middle of the range. *Cliff Hangers: Nice win. It was nice to see how well they used the motor breaking to their advantage. *Wow! Someone actually overbid on their Showcase. I never thought I’d see that in primetime. *Darn. I was hoping they were going to give away three new cars in the second Showcase. Oh well, two is still nice. *Seven cars (five of them Fords) could have been won today! *In all $517,389 was given away in the three primetime specials. |
