    Tuesday
  • This episode featured the 50th bonus spin of the season. We are currently on pace to have 88 dollar spinners this season, which would be slightly more than last season (86) and in line with the average over the past 15 years (90).
  • Rebecca won Line em Up after getting exactly one number right on her first try. Prior to this win, Line em Up had been lost 10 straight times (dating back to June 16, 2014) when contestants got one number right on their first try.
  • The most expensive price was right in Gas Money for the first time since March 12, 2014. Gas Money now has an all-time record of 1-10 when contestants had to avoid the most expensive price in order to win the car.

  • Out of the $41,781 that was won on the episode, $34,979 (83.7%) was won by Bethany. That is the highest proportion of winnings won by a contestant in a single episode this season.
  • Check-Out was the only Pricing Game that was fully won. Previous time this game prevented an episode from being winless: December 7, 2011.
  • Hole #34 (Row 4, Column 4) was selected in Punch a Bunch for the first time since April 22, 2013. (It contained $2,500 in that playing.) It was also the first time since June 3, 2014 where less than three punches were won.
    Thursday
  • Bargain Game was the only Pricing Game that was fully won. Previous time this game prevented an episode from being winless: May 6, 2015.
  • Contestants have been required to pick the most expensive bargain price in order to win Bargain Game in 13 out of 17 playings this season. By comparison, in the four previous seasons, the most expensive price was right in 43 out of 95 playings.
  • Braeden only accumulated 45 cents in pocket change. That ties the record for the lowest score in the game's history. (It also happened on November 3, 2010, March 8, 2013 and March 14, 2014.)
    Friday
  • The contestant had to remove the fourth digit in order to win 5-digit Squeeze Play for the first time since June 27, 2013.
  • Congratulations to the blue rat. Not only did it win its first Rat Race of the season, the first place finish was also the rat's first top three finish of the season. Conversely, the orange rat finished outside of the top 3 for the first time this season.
Comments for the Weeks of March 7-11 & March 14
  • Biggest winner: Vonnita Jones ($52,839) (March 8)
  • By being played fourth on March 7, fifth on March 8 and fifth on March 11, Coming or Going, Freeze Frame and Switch? became the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth Pricing Games to be played in all six slots at least once this season, respectively. Coming or Going has achieved this feat for the first time since Season 42. Freeze Frame and Switch? have achieved this feat for the fourth and eighth straight season, respectively.
  • Only $33,814 in cash and prizes was won on the April 7 episode. That's the least won in an episode this season and the least won since May 19 of last season ($33,616). It was also only the second episode this season (along with January 13) where less than $40,000 was won.
  • Also on March 7, the car was won in Any Number for the first time since December 30, which snapped a five game losing streak for this game. That was the longest losing streak since it was lost five straight times at the end of Season 42 and the start of Season 43 and seven straight times in Season 40.
  • With Drew's help, Mary spun $1.00 in the Showcase Showdown on the March 7 episode. That was only the second time since Season 40 (along with December 30, 2014) where a contestant has won cash in a Drew-aided spin.
  • The Price is Right train made its sixth appearance of the season on the March 8 episode. The train has already been used more times this season than in had in all of Season 43 (5 times). Similarly, the tugboat has made three appearances so far this season, which is already more than the times it was used in all of Season 42 (twice) and Season 43 (once).
  • The six one bids on the March 10 episode totalled $5,191, which is the smallest sum so far this season and is the smallest since June 11, 2014 ($4,466).
  • Also on March 10, Ashley lost Bullseye by missing the target (overbidding) on the grocery product that had the hidden bullseye. Previous time that's happened: May 22, 2013.
  • On March 11, Barbara won Bonus Game despite only winning one out of the four windows. That's only happened one other time since Season 29: October 6, 2004. With the win, Bonus Game's record since Season 29 has improved to 2-7 when contestants only get one small prize right.
  • The $16,447 trip to Kyoto was also the most expensive non-car prize ever offered in Bonus Game. (Previous high: A $14,615 kitchen offered (and won) on the April 12, 2010 episode.)
  • Stack the Deck wound up being the only Pricing Game that was lost on the March 11 episode. Previous time Stack the Deck spoiled a perfect show: March 25, 2014.
  • Side By Side was won for the tenth straight time on the March 14 episode, achieving this feat for the second time in three seasons. Overall, Side by Side has been won 13 times this season and is one win behind Switch? for the overall lead.
  • Also on March 14, hole #21 (Row 3, Column 1) was selected in Punch a Bunch for the first time since May 17, 2012. Prior to this playing, it was the hole that had gone the fourth longest without being selected.
  • Hole #21 has only been selected four times since Season 32. It held $500, unknown (not revealed), $250 and $2,500 in those four instances.
  • Prior to this season, Stack the Deck had a record of 16-14 when contestants won all three free numbers. This season has not had a similar outcome - the game is 0-4 when the grocery product portion has been played perfectly.
  • Only $56 separated the value of both Showcases offered on the March 14 episode ($26,331 and $26,275). That is the smallest difference since March 18, 2013 ($38).
Comments for the Week of March 21-25
  • Biggest winners this week: Meghan Lopez ($47,932) (March 23) and Bailey Griswold ($47,244) (March 21)
  • During this week's episodes, 40 cents, 70 cents and 80 cents were all spun in a bonus spin. That means that every amount has now been landed on at least once in a bonus spin this season. (20 cents, 50 cents and 95 cents have all been spun most often this season, with 5 hits each.)
  • Combined, $46,592 in cash was won in the four cash games that were played this week (1/2 Off, Time i$ Money, Plinko, Grand Game), which is the third best performance this season. Only the weeks of September 28 (Pay the Rent win) and October 15 (Big Money Week) had better results.
  • So far this season, sliding the numbers to the left and to the right have both been right in Side By Side eight times. Side By Side continues the trend of not having a trend. Since Season 29, sliding to the left has been right 107 times and sliding to the right has been right 106 times.
  • On Tuesday:
    • Cassandra's guess in Push Over ($4,293) was $5,043 away from the actual price of $9,336. That is the biggest miss in 4-digit Push Over since March 26, 2013 ($6,089 miss - a $3,041 guess on a $9,130 prize). It is also the third $4,000+ miss in the game's past four playings.
    • There was a $1.00 spin-off for the eighth time this season. That is the most $1.00 spin-offs since there were 8 in Season 39. A ninth $1.00 spin-off would tie Season 33 for the most since at least Season 29
    • So far this season, Pick-a-Number is 6-0 when contestants had to pick the middle number in order to win the game and 3-5 when contestants had to pick either the smallest or the largest number. That continues the trend from past seasons. Between Seasons 29 and 43, Pick-a-Number is 41-25 when contestants had to pick the middle number and 33-100 otherwise.
  • On Wednesday:
    • Thanks to the $20,000 win, Plinko has now exceeded $100,000 in cash winnings this season ($104,100). For the third straight season, Plinko achieved this feat on its 17th playing.
    • Pick-a-Pair was lost for the fourth time this season on Wednesday's episode. Pick-a-Pair now has a record of 5-4 this season and a record of 20-15 since Season 42 (57% win rate). By comparison, Pick-a-Pair had a record of 172-37 (82% win rate) between Seasons 29 and 41.
    • Coming or Going was lost for the first time since December 11. That ended a seven game winning streak for this game. Coming or Going has now had a winning streak of at least seven games in three out of the past four seasons.
  • On Thursday:
    • That's Too Much! became the first Pricing Game to be played 20 times this season. That's Too Much! is poised to be the most (or tied for the most) frequently played game in a season for the third time in its history. (It also lead this category in Season 39 and Season 43.)
    • Safe Crackers was lost for the first time since September 30, which ended a five game winning streak for this game. That ended the longest winning streak for this game since it was won six straight times in Season 42.
    • Grand Game was won for the first time since December 23, which snapped a streak of 6 straight games where less than $10,000 was won. That was the longest losing streak since it was lost 9 straight times at the end of Season 40 and the start of Season 41.
  • On Friday:
    • Two non-car games were played for a car (Squeeze Play and Cliff Hangers). Besides the Teen Drivers Special in Season 40 and the Sweet 16 special in Season 43, the last time that occurred was October 31, 2011 (Bonus Game and Grocery Game).
    • A car was won in Squeeze Play for the first time since May 1, 2012. That ended a streak of five straight playings where Squeeze Play was lost when it was played for a car.
    • In every single playing of Freeze Frame so far this season, contestants have had to pick either the third most expensive or the fourth most expensive choice in order to win. Between Seasons 32 and 43, these two choices were right 48% of the time (120/250).
    • Cliff Hangers was won with Hans stopped on the sixth step. That was the best performance (along with other 6 step wins on February 25, 2013 and November 4, 2013) since a five step win on January 6, 2012.
Comments for the Week of March 28-April 1
  • Biggest winner this week: Wayne Shaw ($49,537) (March 31) - the fourth time this season where a Showcase winner was not the biggest winner on a week. (It also happened on the second week of the season, Dream Car Week and Big Money Week.)
  • $30,000 was won in the Showcase Showdowns this week, which has pushed the total winnings of the season to $235,095. Coincidentally, the $200,000 mark was surpassed on the 125th episode in each of the past two seasons. (It happened on the 147th episode in Season 42.)
  • On Monday:
    • For the fourth time the season (out of 8 instances), contestants have had to remove the second digit in order to win Squeeze Play when it was played for a five digit prize. By comparison, the second digit had to be removed in only 6 out of the 59 playings in the previous 13 seasons.
    • Including the loss on this episode, 2 for the Price of 1 is now on a 0-6 streak when contestants ask to reveal the first number. A "first number free" win last occurred on November 16, 2010.
  • On Tuesday:
    • Susan picked a "CAR" card in Spelling Bee for the fourth time this season. That is the most occurrences in a season since 5 "CAR" cards were picked in Season 29.
    • This was also the third straight time where a contestant chose card #11 in Spelling Bee and that number wound up being a "CAR" card (February 6, 2014, January 11, 2016 and March 29, 2016).
    • The $12,815 Nissan Versa, offered in Spelling Bee, was the cheapest car offered in a Pricing Game this season. (The previous low was a $13,005 Nissan Versa offered in Hole in One, Pass the Buck and Rat Race earlier this season.)
    • The Nissan Versa was also the cheapest car offered in Spelling Bee since at least the start of Season 30. (The previous low during this span was a $12,980 Chevrolet Aveo offered on April 18, 2011. That also appears to be the last time a car worth less than $13,000 was offered in a Pricing Game.)
    • Pick-a-Number was won for the 10th time this season. With a current record of 10-5, Pick-a-Number is having by far one of its best seasons. It has finished above .500 only twice since Season 29 - identical 3-2 records in Seasons 31 and 32.
    • Patricia's $9,000 bid during the fourth one bid round (a charm necklace) was the highest bid in a one bid this season and the highest since a $12,500 bid on the May 5, 2015 episode.
  • On Wednesday:
    • Gary won Secret "X" with a horizontal tic-tac-toe across the middle row. That extremely rare occurence has now happened twice this season. (It also occurred on October 1.)
    • Quite the change in frequency: Hi Lo has been played three times in the past 16 episodes, compared to being played twice in the first 67 episodes of the season. (And not played at all in the first six weeks of the season.)
    • $800 was assigned to the ace drawn on Wednesday's playing of Card Game, which is the lowest value assigned to an ace since October 23, 2007 ($400).
    • A $20,546 Showcase was offered, which is the cheapest Showcase offered this season. As a result, with total winnings of $22,830, Janet became the second smallest Showcase winner this season.
  • On Thursday:
    • Lucky $even was won for the first time since December 24, which snapped a nine game losing streak for this game. It was also the first time this season where there was not at least one 9 in the price of the car.
    • The $500 FitLeader exercise bike, offered in the sixth one bid, was the cheapest one bid of the season and the cheapest one bid since a $500 internet radio was offered on January 6, 2015.
    • The six one bids ototalled $5,184, which is the smallest sum so far this season and is the smallest since June 11, 2014 ($4,466).
    • For the sixth straight time, exactly $4,000 was won in It's in the Bag. As a result, the median winnings in It's in the Bag this season is currently $4,000, which is second highest amongst all cash games. Pay the Rent ($7,500) currently leads this category.
    • Martha and Wayne had the ninth $1.00 spin-off of the season, which is the most since Season 33. One more would break the record for the most since at least Season 29.
  • On Friday:
    • Money Game became the first car game to be won 10 times this season. Money Game has now been won at least 10 times in 15 out of the past 16 seasons. Season 40 (7-20) is the only outlier during this span.
    • Linda's guess in Push Over ($4,915) wound up being only $352 away from the actual price of $5,267. That is the smallest miss since March 5, 2012 ($11,079 guess on a $10,795 = $284 difference).

  • Cover Up was won with Niki only having one number to choose from on her final turn. Previous time that's happened: February 19 of last season. Overall, it has happened 7 times since the start of Season 32. (1 on the second try, 3 on the third try, 1 on the fourth try, 2 on the fifth try)
  • Gas Money comments:
    • The car was won for the first time this season and for the first time since January 30, 2015. That snapped a 13 game losing streak for this game. (The longest losing streak in the game's history was 27 losses during Seasons 40 and 41).
    • It took 104 playings, but Gas Money has finally been won for the 10th time in its history. (However, included in those 94 losses are 15 bailouts.)
    • This was also the first time in the game's history where Gas Money was won when contestants had to avoid the cheapest displayed price in order to win the car. Prior to this week, Gas Money had a record of 0-34 under these conditions.
    • Gas Money has never been won when contestants had to avoid the middle price (third least expensive) in order to win the car. However, the game has been set up in this manner only 8 times in its history (and not since October 15 of last season).
  • On Tuesday:
    • Side By Side was lost for the first time since November 4, which ended an 11 game winning streak for this game. That ended the game's longest winning streak since it was won 12 straight times in Season 37.
    • The loss has dropped Side By Side's record to 14-3 this season. Two of those losses occurred when Side By Side was played for a trip to Toronto.
    • Hole #14 (Row 2, Column 4) was selected in Punch a Bunch for the first time since May 29, 2014 and Hole #16 was selected for the first time since December 11, 2013. (Both holes held a $2,500 slip in those playings.) That means that 40/50 holes have now been selected at least once in the past two seasons.
    • The $13,142 Nissan Versa was the cheapest car offered in Dice Game since at least the start of Season 30. (The previous low during this span was a $13,525 Ford Escort offered on November 19, 2002).
  • On Wednesday:
    • At least one contestant bid $1 above a previous bidder in all six one bids. That's only happened one other time this season: February 24.
    • Rat Race was played fourth for the first time since October 31, 2013.
    • It has been a disastrous season so far for the yellow rat. Not only is it the only rat that has never been picked by a contestant, it is also the only rat that has never won a race this season.
    • $1,537 was won in Time i$ Money, which is the least won in a partial win in the game's history.
  • On Thursday:
    • Eazy az 1 2 3 was lost for the sixth time this season, which dropped its record to 2-6. If that holds, the 25% win rate would be the worst performance for Eazy az 1 2 3 since at least Season 29. (The current low is 4-9 in Season 38).
    • The car was not won in Let 'em Roll for the fourth time this season. In three of those losses, the game was played for a Hyundai Accent.
    • For the first time since June 19 of last season, the correct path in Pathfinder ended on the inside of the board. This has happened eight times since Season 32, and the game was lost in all eight occurrences.
  • On Friday, only $700 separated the value of both prizes offered in Switch? ($3,000 and $2,300), which is the smallest difference since June 24, 2014 ($2,590 and $3,229 = $639).
  • By being played fourth on Friday, Any Number became the 17th Pricing Game to be played in all six slots this season. Any Number last achieved this feat in Season 42.
Comments for the Week of April 11-15
  • Biggest winner this week: Jeannie Byer ($47,072) (April 14)
  • Two out of the first four contestants failed to win their way up on stage on both Wednesday's and Thursday's episodes. Overall, it has happened seven times this season (with the previous occurrence being January 7), which is already more than double the number of times it happened last season (3 times). (However, last season was an anomaly - the season average is 10.)
  • So far this season, the contestant called sixth (prior to the third item up for bids) has won their way up on stage 95 times, compared to 92 times for the contestant called fifth (prior to the second item up for bids). The previous time the sixth bidder was more successful than the fifth bidder was Season 36.
  • 22 trips were offered this week, which is the most offered in a single week this season. (This week surpasses the 21 trips that were offered during the week of October 5-9).
  • By being played first on Monday, Hi Lo became the 18th Pricing Game (and the second grocery product game, along with It's in the Bag) to be played in all six slots at least once this season. Hi Lo last achieved this feat in Season 42.
  • From freezing cold to scalding hot: Plinko has been played 18 times this season. In the first 11 playings, $28,300 in cash was won, for an average of $2,573 per playing. The most won during that span was $10,100. In the 7 most recent playings, $87,800 in cash was won, for an average of $12,543 per playing. At least $10,100 was won in 6 of those playings.
  • Monday's episode also ended a streak of 26 straight episodes (dating back to February 26) where at least one car was offered in the Showcase.
  • With the win on Tuesday, Range Game's record has improved to 12-3 (80%) on the season. That is easily the best performance for this game since at least Season 29. In the previous 15 seasons, Range Game's record was 157-166 (48.6%) with Season 33 (10-5) being the best year during this span.
  • Pricing Games with winning percentages at or above .800 this season: Bullseye (6-1), Magic # (5-1), Now... or Then (5-1), Range Game (12-3), Shopping Spree (6-1), Switch? (18-2).
  • Stella's guess for the four digit prize in Make Your Move ($5,675) was $546 away from the actual price. That is the closest miss in this game since December 18, 2013 ($4,559 guess on a $4,455 prize, for a $104 difference).
  • Shellie's bid in Wednesday's playing of Card Game was $265 away from her $1,000 range. That is the closest loss in this game since February 3 of last season ($64 away from the $2,000 range).
  • In the past two seasons, an ace was drawn in Card Game in 19 out of 33 playings (58%). By comparison, between Seasons 29 and 42, 45 aces were drawn in 162 playings (28%), with it happening most often in Season 32 (6 out of 14 playings).
  • Also on Wednesday, Five Price Tags was won for the first time since November 23, which snapped a five game losing streak for this game. That ended the longest losing streak for this game since it was lost six straight times at the end of Season 40 and the start of Season 41.
  • Longest Five Price Tags losing streak since Season 30: 12 straight losses between Season 32 and 34.
  • $2,117 separated the value of both trips in Switch? ($4,064 and $6,181), which is the largest spread since March 13, 2012 ($4,800 and $2,595 = $2,205).
  • Switch? has now been won 16 straight times (dating back to June 17, 2014) when it has been played for two trips.
  • On Friday, Charon won her Showcase despite underbidding on it by $19,955. That is the biggest miss from a Showcase winner since May 27, 2014 ($31,660).

  • Biggest winner this week: Zachary Turner ($53,823) (April 18) - Zachary was the first $50,000+ winner since March 8
  • After offering 22 trips last week (the most this season), only 15 trips were offered this week, which is tied for the fewest trips offered in a five-day week this season.
  • Monday's episode featured the fourth perfect show of the season. It has been at least 15 years since there were at least four perfect shows in the same season. (The most during this span was 3 in Seasons 32, 35 and 36.)
  • Previous time the six Pricing Games played on Monday's episode were involved in a perfect show:

  • On Tuesday, Melvin won Lucky $even despite having only $2 left after the fourth number. Previous time Lucky $even was won due to a perfect guess on the fifth number: June 5, 2012.
  • Melvin also won Lucky $even even though he had to cough up $5 on one number. Previous s time a $5 miss was not fatal: November 3, 2008 (that contestant came back to win the car after missing the second digit by 5).
  • Tuesday's episode also ended a streak of 28 straight episodes where at least three trips were offered. There were only two trips presented, which was the fewest since March 8.
  • On Wednesday's second Showcase Showdown, Davine spun 85¢ and 95¢ with her two spins for a total of $1.80. That is the highest score this season, beating out $1.75 from October 7. (Last season, the highest score was $1.90, spun by two different contestants.)
  • The value of the gifts offered in Temptation has been very consistent so far this season. The median total is $5,527 with a high of $5,753 on April 21 and a low of $5,033 on February 8. In fact, the gifts have totalled between $5,000-$6,000 in each playing of Temptation over the last two seasons, with the exception of the May 20, 2015 episode ($4,484).
  • On Thursday, the $10,000 in 1/2 Off was placed in one of the blue boxes (#3, #6, #9, #16) for the first time this season and for the first time since March 9 of last season.
  • 1/2 Off boxes that have the gone longest since they last contained the $10,000 prize: #9 (November 2, 2012), #7 (April 15, 2013), #13 (February 7, 2014).
  • Friday's playing of Most Expen$ive snapped a streak of 15 straight playings where the game was won when #2 was the most expensive prize. Prior to this week, the game had last been lost under these conditions on January 20, 2014.
  • Thanks to the double overbid, only $39,299 in cash and prizes was won on Friday's episode. That is the third lowest total of the season and the third time the winnings were less than $40,000.
